Identification of snakes


Common cobra:

  • Large head scales
  • 3rd labial touches the eye.

Common krait:

  • Hexagonal scales in the middle of the back
  • 4th infralabial is the largest.

Russell’s viper:

  • Triangular head
  • 3 rows of diamond shaped marks on body.
