Panda in Radiology


Panda sign:

  • Seen with Gallium scan
  • Seen in Sarcoidosis
  • It refers to┬ábilateral involvement of parotid glands, lacrimal glands and nasopharynx.

Face of the Giant Panda:

  • Seen with MRI brain
  • Seen in Wilson’s disease
  • It refers to a high T2 signal surrounding the Red nucleus & Substantia nigra.
